Jim Herrig is Vice President, Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, Brokerage Services Director, and a Shareholder of Honkamp Krueger Financial Services, Inc. He supervises compliance matters for the Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), performs ProEquities OSJ duties, and provides legal counsel for HKFS.

Jim holds Series 7, 24, & 63 Securities Licenses and he is a Registered Representative with ProEquities, Inc. He serves on the ProEquities Direct Participation Advisory Council. Jim is an Attorney and a member of the Dubuque County and Iowa Bar Associations. He is a licensed Accident, Health, Life, and Variable Insurance Agent. Jim serves on the HKFS Investment, Management, and Risk Management Committees.

Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Loras College and he holds a Doctorate of Law from the College of Law of the University of Iowa. He is involved in various philanthropic boards and activities, focused on providing education and medical care.

Prior to joining HKFS in April 1996, Jim served as the Executive Vice President of the Investment Center at Firstar Bank in Dubuque, Iowa. He also served as an Assistant Dubuque County Attorney and then in the chief elective position of Dubuque County Attorney.
