Kathy "Pottsy" HerrigSenior Insurance Underwriter
Kathy Herrig (better known in the office as “Pottsy”) is our Senior Insurance Underwriter. She works with the underwriters of various insurance companies to secure the best insurance offer for the clients of HKFS; oversees the processing of new business and informal applications; orders medical examinations, Attended Physician Statements (APS); processes inspection reports, motor vehicle reports, and delivery requirements for various insurance companies; assists with individual policyholder changes; and provides insurance supplies to clients, Financial Advisors, and CPAs when requested. She also handles agent contracting and she works with the various insurance companies to get our agents contracted.
Kathy serves as Treasurer for the HK Wellness Committee. She volunteers her time to help raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
She joined HKFS in August 1999.
Kathy resides in Dubuque with her husband, Tom. They have one daughter, Kaylee. She enjoys watching a good pro-football game (her favorite team being the Vikings), spending time with her family and friends, shopping, decorating, traveling, watching good movies, exercising, and taking walks.
